SELENE 53-45 Having just taken acceptance and completed my first shake down cruise on my new Selene 53, Watermark, I couldn't be happier. I and three other friends just got back from a short 36 mile cruise from Dana Point to Avalon on Catalina Island. We spent the night having made only one SOS call to Zak. To use the Davit you do have to turn on the generator, flip the 50 amp switch and the Davit breaker. Boy do I feel stupid. Get ready Zak there will be more calls! This all started two years ago in April of 2004 when my initial contract was signed. In that two year period I have learned loads and am writing this as a pass along for other future owners. It has truly been an interesting experience. Thankfully because of Zak, Michelle, and the Dream Catcher organization, it has been positive. More> |

PACIFIC SEACRAFT31#119 After some extensive reading, research and first-hand visits, I decided to inquire about the purchase of a Pacific Seacraft 31 and visited Dream Catcher Yachts at Dana Point, CA. I've sailed for about 35 years in Hawaii. Always fun and always using seat-of-the-pants methods. Well, the Pacific Seacraft was to be a major step above that level! Dave Barker was invaluable in leading me through the nuances of itemizing equipment and options for the boat that went beyond the already substantial standard features. I strongly feel that Dave's experience and insight has resulted in me owning just the right yacht with just the right features for many years of enjoyable sailing and adventuring. In addition to Dave, DCY owners Zach and Michelle Anderegg provided additional services and advice to totally round-out the entire purchase and delivery experience.
