About Adobe Acrobat

What is Acrobat?

What is Acrobat?

Some pages in this site, including the Monthly Schedules, have been saved as downloadable and printable .pdf files. The advantage of .pdf files is when you print them, they print in the same form as they appear on your screen. To view these documents, you need to have Adobe Acrobat 4.0 or later installed in your computer.

When you click on the links for any of these documents, an Adobe Acrobat Reader should launch in a new window, and the document should appear in the Reader. Most computers come with Acrobat Readers pre-installed. If you do not have one in your computer, you can get it free by clicking here or on the logo to the left.

The document doesn't open

If you clicked on one of the .pdf links and were not able to view the document, one of three things may have happened:

1. Your computer does not have an Acrobat Reader installed

    • If your computer does not have Acrobat Reader 4 installed, you may download the latest version of Acrobat Reader for free. Click here or on the Acrobat Reader logo to the left. Downloading takes just a few minutes.

2. Your computer has an older version of Acrobat Reader installed

    • Download the latest version of Acrobat Reader for free. Click here or on the Acrobat Reader logo to the left. Downloading takes just a few minutes.

3. Your computer has a current version of Acrobat Reader installed, but your browser has not been set up to launch the Reader automatically when viewing a .pdf document

  • Try opening up Acrobat then clicking on the link to the .pdf file you would like to view.

The document opens, but it's too small to read

The .pdf documents have been designed to pop up in small windows. This allows people who only want to print the document to do so with minimal interruption. If you would like to enlarge the document for easier viewing, follow one of these steps:

1. Enlarge the Window

  • Position your cursor over the bottom right corner of the window of the .pdf file

  • Click, and while holding the mouse down, drag the window down and to the right. Both the window and the document will be enlarged.

2. Maximize the Window

  • You can also click in the "Maximize" box at the top of the window. This will enlarge the window, but not the document

  • To enlarge the document, look for a percentage number in the lower left hand corner of the window. Click on the triangle next to the percentage number and choose a larger percentage from the scroll down list.

If you are still unable to view pdf documents, contact us and we'll try to help.
